Here is a list of my favorite travel credit cards and how I use them!
Chase Sapphire Preferred
This was my very first travel credit card and the one that is most recommended for beginners. It comes with a great sign up bonus, reasonable annual fee and flexible ultimate rewards points. I use Chase Ultimate Rewards Points® to book all of my favorite Hyatt hotels. Enjoy benefits such as $50 annual Ultimate Rewards Hotel Credit, 5X points on travel purchased through Chase Ultimate Rewards®, 3X points on dining and 2X points on all other travel purchases, plus more.

American Express Gold Card
This is one of my favorite credit cards to use for redeeming free flights. It does have a bit higher of an annual fee, but the amount of times I have redeemed free flights using the points I have earned from this card, totally offsets the fee for me. This card gets 4X points at grocery stores, 4x points at restaurants, and 3x points on flights booked directly with the airline. I am able to rack up a ton of these points with just my daily expenses. If the majority of your spend is at grocery stores and restaurants and you want to book free flights this is your card!

World of Hyatt Personal Credit Card
I added this card to my wallet after I began traveling using points and I realized that staying at Hyatt hotels was the best value for my points. I began staying mostly at Hyatt hotels and I wanted to earn more points and work my way toward earning free night certificates and exclusive upgrades. This card earns 9 points per $1 spent at Hyatt (4X bonus points from the card, and 5X base points for being a World of Hyatt Member), 2 points per $1 on dining and airfare purchased directly with airlines, 2 points per $1 spent on gym and health club memberships, and 1 point per $1 on everything else. The best perk of this card is that it comes with one annual free night certificate to use at a Hyatt property each year! This cancels out the annual fee of $95 as I use this free night certificate at hotels worth more than $95 a night.
Citi Premier Card
I added this card to my wallet when I was looking to earn more points that are able to transfer to airline programs to redeem free flights. This card currently has a generous sign up bonus and has excellent spending categories. The Citi Premier Card gives 3x points at gas stations, 3x points at restaurants, and 3x at supermarkets. This is a great everyday card that includes the most popular spending categories.
